Guitarist refuses to endorse fan's campaign

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has refused to endorse a campaign by a fan to honour the band on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

Rocky Dickerson conceived the star campaign after flying over from California to see the rock legends reunite at the Ahmet Ertegün Tribute Concert in London last year (December 10).

He requested written approval for the nomination from band members and their management so he could proceed with the nomination, but Page has urged him not to bother, according to Yahoo news.

"He [Page] has asked me to thank you for this interest but he does not feel that this is something that he can endorse," said Page's spokesman.
