Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl gets street named after him
Foo Fighters
Name change is right up ex-Nirvana drummer's 'Alley'
Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl is having a street named after him, thanks to a local campaign.
The former Nirvana drummer is the subject of a successful petition to get Market Alley in his hometown Warren, Ohio, changed to Dave Grohl Alley.
The campaign was orchestrated by a radio DJ Fast Freddie and a Warren-based police sergeant Joe O'Grady, reports local paper The Tribune Chronicle.
Initially there were some complaints that the move would cost the city money, however, but eventually the move was passed unanimously by the local council.
Warren now intend to hold a dedication ceremony to mark the street name changed, which Grohl will be invited to.
