Bon Jovi sued for £250,000 for running over woman with golf buggy

Incident happened before a Milton Keynes concert in 2006

A UK woman is suing Bon Jovi for £250,000 after one of the band's entourage ran her over with a golf buggy before a concert in 2006.

Sally Allen, a security supervisor at Milton Keynes' National Bowl, suffered a fractured knee, ligament damage and severe internal injuries as a result of the incident.

Allen claims that a member of the band's security team, Kevin McDonnell, drove up to her in a golf buggy and demanded access to the VIP area of the venue, then ordered her to get out of his way and called her a "fucking whore".

McDonnell allegedly continued to taunt Allen by declaring: "Do you know who I am? You can't fucking stop me."

It is alleged that McDonnell then aimed the buggy straight at Allen and drove over her right leg, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Allen spent almost a week in hospital as a result of the incident. She is now suing all four members of Bon Jovi - Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan, Richie Sambora and Tico Torres - and their companies for trespass to the person and negligence.

The band "strenuously" deny her accusations.

Last month, NME.COM reported that Jon Bon Jovi is being sued for £200 billion by musician Samuel Bartley Steele. Steele claims that Bon Jovi ripped off lyrics to his song '(Man I Really) Love This Team' on 2007's 'I Love This Town'.
